I need a new computer(not sure whether to get a desktop or laptop) for playing games(the Sims 3, Sims Medieval, Spore) and art(Illustrator, photoshop) and normal internet use and typing stuff. My main concern is that the Sims 3 is eating away at the computer I have now because it's cheap. The highest I'll pay is around $1000. I think I heard that laptops aren't good for the Sims 3, is that true? Should I just get a new desktop?
