By the way i do have a 3d capeable graphics card, 2.3ghz core i7 with turbo boost 2.0 and 16gbs of ram.Answer Question

THey probably did not upgrade the graphics card to support 3D, as you did not upgrade your screen. There are different variations of laptop cards for different prefferences(3D or not) However, if you receive it, you probably would be able to send it back and ask for them to upgrade it to 3D
