Voting Question: Do you need Crossfire motherboard?

No really that card support 4 monitors in an Efinity , but if you are planning to buy a new board then getting one that does is even better even if you don't get another video card , it will provide at least 2 more PCIe X 16 slots and not necesarilly you need to use it in crossfire those ports can be use it for other types of cards, even do hd 6950 is 2.1 , it works fine in a 2.0 port , Croosfire is for hardcore gamers .Answerer 2

No, if you are not planning to crossfire, then any motherboard that supports the pci 2.1 x16 slots (and even x8 slots probably) will work.
