i have a digital camera. i have to use the USB cable attached from the camera to the computer. when i attach it to the computer it shows that they both are responding. i get this blue screen on my camera, but then i get a message on the computer that the devise has malfunctioned and windows doesn't recognize it. so they both recognize each other but i get that message. what should i do. would getting a new cord help fix this problem? the USB cable is a bit expensive. i want to get a new cable, but don't to find out this isn't the problem.

lately, when i plug my camera and USB cable into the computer, the camera shuts down. i know the problem is with the USB cable, i have to giggle it around to get it working and not shut down.
