Open Question: My speakers on the laptop won't work?

Dont say if your running Windows or Mac.
If windows right click the volume icon by the clock. Adjust audio properties Make sure nothing muted there. Check to see the speakers settings also. Then also just click the volume icon and check the mixer controls.
