so scanning to a memory card doesn't require ink but why does my hp C5250 not let me scan? after it boots up, the screen is locked and says check print cartridge. my black ink is empty. i know this. i don't care. i just want to scan a document to my CF card.

HP corp think they are soooo smart. they want to nickel and dime me for every penny they can get! wtf! I'm so mad, I gonna junk this unit and take my losses. i'm not giving them another dime to make this POS scanner work!

i apoliigize, i'm venting right now. does anyone know another solution to get this POS scanner working without buying and installing a new print cartridge?
