Open Question: Help choosing a computer case?

I'm not sure which one is better, but I'm confident that the Antec 1200 V3 should have a better airflow. I think you should try and search for some kind of comparison between the two, or at least read reviews about each of them, it will probably help you reach a final conclusion. Anyway, whichever of those two you choose you will certainly have a fine case. The Cooler Master HAF-X is also a great case, but I think it goes above your $180 limit. Unfortunately I don't know if that problem with the HAF-X is true.

Cheers,
Vatanan

Will it damage it in the long run ?Answer Question

Sam by Sam Member since:October 26, 2009Total points:183 (Level 1)Is common for programs and games to use 100% in low end computers. It won't damage the system as long you don't heat up the CPU for to long. You can fix this by.
1. By scanning for spyware, viruses...etc
2. Upgrade your CPU processor, ram or video cards for gaming/visual programs. (RECOMMENDED)
3. Get a cooling system/fan to make sure your system overheat and cause damage( this is very rare)
Please understand overheating dose not occur as long your system is well managed and no overclocking is done.

Answer Question

Tony by Tony Member since:May 15, 2008Total points:978 (Level 2)So what you are trying to say is you don't want to use the Intel HD and you want to use the 2 GB radeon. Try removing it, Go to start>Right click my computer> Device manager> Display and adapters> Right click on Intel HD and uninstall. If screen goes blank then let it be and a few seconds later you will probably have a huge screen. Right click your Desktop and set the Resolution to whatever you want afterwards if your screen decides to respond

Open Question: Will the video card fit?

Open Question: Will the video card fit?

I have a Dimension E520 and I am planning to upgrade my video card. I decided to purchase a radeon hd 4670.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161315&cm_re=HD4670.-_-14-161-315-_-Product

I researched and people said it will work fine on the system, but I've also seen people buying dual slot cards and it ends up doesn't fit the system because of the narrow space the desktop has.

I don't trust Dell system specification because they said my computers maximum ram was 4 GB and maximum ram per stick was 1 GB. It ends up the max ram was 8GB and 2GB per stick.

So basically i am asking will the HIS radeon hd 4670 I've shown above will fit on the desktop? And will I need to upgrade my power supply? I am afraid that it will burn up the system while doing some gaming. I currently have a E6600 (core 2 duo) and 3 hard drive. ( According to dell I have 305 watt right now....)
If the graphic card above doesn't work please give me some suggestions.

Open Question: How Often Should I Defrag My Computer?

Open Question: How Often Should I Defrag My Computer?

Defrag should be done every 1-5 month depends how much work you are working on it. It will not do any harm to the computer so you could do whenever you feel like it.

But please know Defraging will not increase the speed of your computer, it will only decrease the amount of speed is being used.
You mentioned your computer is 8 years old then you should be considering upgrade your computer for a better one or buy a new one.
Upgrading ram is cheap and is the best way to speed up your computer.

I've tried contacting them but haven't got a response. Is Commodoreusa.net a legitimate company? It seems strange they don't respond to inquiries from potential customers.
