Open Question: how to send in an acer product for repair?

The code that was given to you was an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number, my friend.

It indicates that you've spoken to someone at Acer who has authorized the return, and it should be on their computer system indicating the basics of what's wrong with it.

You need to include this number on the address label. It lets them know something of whom it's from and the basics of what they need to be looking for when they get it. (It would make absolute sense to include a letter in your parcel detailing your full name and address, telephone number, and what's actually wrong with the product you're returning.)
