Open Question: Can I use the product key off of someones laptop to upgrade my own laptop?

AJ Mitch Member since:October 18, 2010Total points:152 (Level 1)I have an Acer Aspire One D255 that came with Windows XP. Everyone I know with a laptop has either Windows Vista or 7. Since there is a product key up under the laptop for that version of Windows, can I use it to upgrade my own laptop (with their permission of course)??? Please help...Answer Question
