You say "my MAC OS X" like it is something you can hold in your hand. It's really just software. Which computer is this (brand, model, processor speed)????? If it is a hackintosh, SAY SO.

You may be the only person on Earth using OS 10.6.1. That should be 10.6.7. Did you turn off Software Update? How can you delete three or four different areas of files accidentally? This is a joke question, isn't it? Am I on camera?

Steps to follow-- all of them.
-- Reinstall OS X.
-- Open Software Update. It will have opened by itself once during the first week, but in your case, I think it is good for you to get all the updates done A.S.A.P.
-- Buy an external HDD.
-- Connect the external HDD.
-- When Time Machine opens, choose to use the external HDD for backups.

These steps will correct problems 1 through 4. For problem 5, there is no solution.
