Open Question: Can uninstalling DirectX get rid of distorted graphics when in OpenGL mode in RuneScape?

Maybe, but that just means OpenGL and DirectX are somehow conflicting. (Although DirectX is uninstallable. It is part of the OS)
OpenGL has higher performance than DirectX but has certain lighting/clipping problems.
DirectX looks the best but runs the worst.
What version of DX do you have?
You should try updating your directx.
What graphics are distorted? I play on OpenGL normally.
