Open Question: My keyboard will not work?
Home >All Categories > Computers & Internet >Hardware >Other - Hardware >Open QuestionI recently gave my computer to a friend for him to fix, I got it back today and it is working fine except when I tried to plug the keyboard back in it didn't work, it just won't type. It's a regular keyboard with a purple wire thing, I have put it in the purple place where it is supposed to go on the computer and it still won't work. I have also tried another keyboard... Anyone know the problem?? ThanksAnswer Question

If that doesn't work then I would open it up. (if you know anything about hardware) And check to make sure that the inner pieces linking to the keyboard devices are all plugged into the right drivers. GoodLuck!

Try pressing caps lock and see if the light appears
Secondly, keep tapping f8 as you turn on your PC to see if it can boot into Windows Options
If that works, then there's possibly something went wrong with the Operating System Installation. Contact the guy who fixed it.

Try plugging in a usb type keyboard, it should work, they're inexpensive and have better design than the old ps/2 type. Otherwise bring it back to him to get it to work.
