Open Question: external hard drive not reading?

I have another external hard drive and it works fine and it's not the wire, it's definitely an issue with the hard drive itself not registering with the computer. I cleaned the contact points the best I could but it still seems like it reads the drive sporadically. I just want it to read one more time so I can get the data off of it before I chuck it.Answer Question
