Open Question: why can't i format my seagate freeagent 1.5tb external hard drive?

Devin Byrd Member since:May 01, 2011Total points:97 (Level 1)so i got a Seagate Free agent hard drive 1.5tb for Christmas and i used it and it worked fine. i used it on my xbox 360 to mod some save games after my flash drive broke but i could still put files on it from my computer. then about 2 weeks ago i downloaded an HD movie on to my computer that was about 4.5 gb. i didn't want the movie to take up space since my laptops hard drive is only 106gb. it said that the file could not be moved because it was over 4 gb. i tried to reformat it to allow 8gb and it said it could not format. now it only shows up in devices and printers (btw im using windows 7) so if anyone could help that would be great.
