Im having doughts because i already having a portable device which cost me alot, yep i have the iphone 4. So basically I need something more powerful and portable to take over my laptop. im always travelling, does the ipad have most of the capabilities as a normal computer?

Is it worth me getting or is it just a bigger version of the iphone?

Also can you explain about the 3g? Is it worth getting?
