as tried printing something..and it prints..but in a very very faint purplish color and then nothing..so maybe the ink cartridges are dried up? how likely also the printer head is not going to work?

how likely can refill the cartridges and how likely will have to replace them? or how likely even if replace them..that the printer head isnt going to work and why for that?

also, have heard that if you take the cartridges out and soak them in hot water that it will cause them to be unclogged..is this true? how well will work again? or just refill the ink?

any help appreciated.
