Open Question: I am thinking about purchasing a macbook pro 13 inch or a sony vaio c series (loaded up)?

Macs, well they are very simple to use. Kind of. When you first use one, navigation and everything is hard, but after a few hours everything is fine.

Macs are a lot faster then a windows pc, this os mainly due to the os. You allways get great performance, without many virus risks at all. Put it this way, I've had my mac for just over a year now, and have never had any issues.

The main differences are:
Finder - basically explorer.exe a file management GUI.
Dock - shortcuts are placed for quick acces, this can be positioned either left, bottom or right on the screen, and will hide if requested.
GUI - well, where to start. On a mac, you have a bar at the top, this shows the currently open application, and file edit etc. This is used a lot on macs, so it's best to get used to it.

Issues:
Well, in my short time with a mac, I have only had one issue, compatibility. Obviously windows applications don't work on mac os x, so something needs to be done. You can use bootcamp or a virtual machine software. Google them.

Other then that, you really can't go wrong, great speed and performance, with a minor issue, it's a great buy!
