As for faster internet connection, you will need to talk to your internet service provider for an upgrade.
Things to look for:
High RAM (Go for 8GB or more!)
Fast Processor (Try a quadcore, 2.33ghz or higher)
High-grade Graphics Card - This vary's between PCs. Talk to whoever you are buying your computer from to see if there are upgrades for the graphics card, and which one is the best for intense graphics processing. I personally use a NVidia GeForce 9800 GX, but the model is discontinued -- Additionally, NVidia cards corrupt/break often (This one is my third in two years), so I recommend not going with their brand.
