Can be either one of these:
1. You need a new battery
2. You need a new power cord.

See if you can find someone that has a power cord that will fit your laptop. If it charges it then you know your cord is bad, if it does not charge it, you need a new battery. If'n you have to order either one, I use www.tigerdirect.com a lot and they have never let me down!

Now whenever I plug my hard drive into my laptop it comes up as a local disk and I can't access any of the files, or even view them. My laptop says I have to format the drive but I REALLY! don't want to do that as I would lose 700gb of personal files! Any help is hugely appreciated! :(Answer Question
