Nathan Member since:August 17, 2010Total points:95 (Level 1)I got an hp laptop in march (2011), and it is able to play blu-rays. Its supposed to at least.
Its just a normal blu-ray disc from netflix with no scratches or anything, but it wont play.
It shouldnt be that hard. I mean I figured I'd just pop it in and it would come up automatically like regular dvd's do (regular dvd's do work, so its not the lazer's fault)
Do I need certain software? Thats free? I dont want to have to pay another $50 just to watch blu-rays.Answer Question

Open Question: Why won't my usb hard drive work with my laptop after being plugged into my Bluray player?

Alysson Webb Member since:April 25, 2011Total points:95 (Level 1)My usb hard drive was working fine until I plugged it into a friend's blu ray player via it's usb port. Now whenever I plug my hard drive into my laptop it comes up as a local disk and I can't access any of the files, or even view them. My laptop says I have to format the drive but I REALLY! don't want to do that as I would lose 700gb of personal files! Any help is hugely appreciated! :(Answer QuestionBe the first to answer this question.
