Open Question: Would A Laptop Case Be Okay To Hold My Wacom Tablet?

I've had it for 3 years and I really need to keep it somewhere else rather than it's original box. I don't keep it at my computer hooked up because I have cats and other people use this computer. I don't like to shop online; I rather go to the store and buy it. Since no stores that I know of sell wacom tablet cases I was wondering if a laptop case would be just as good as a tablet case. I was hoping to get one that was around $20 or so; I don't want to spend a lot on a case. Do you think it would work just as well?
