Open Question: Why won't my BIOS detect my new cpu fan?

Anywho, I installed the new fan with ease, I plugged it, and figured I'd be good to go. When I turned on my computer, the fan was running and all. BUT, whilst booting up my computer, the BIOS stated that there was no CPU fan detected, so it automatically turned off my computer so nothing would overheat. But there was my new fan, spinning beautifully. I'm thinking that my motherboard can't process my new fan, so since it can't read that there's a fan plugged in, the BIOS tells my system to shut down. It's just really bothersome. I can't figure out if my new fan is broken, or my motherboard just can't comply with it. Any type of answer would be awesome, thanks!Answer Question

Check bios for auto fan related settings you could possibly disable, so that it doesn't look for that kind of device. Or maybe try "halt on no errors," but I wouldn't like that even if it worked.
