I bought a Gateway laptop two weeks ago. It has an AMD Phenom II X3 processor, 4GB memory and 500GB hard drive. It has been freezing randomly at various intervals since I bought it and I have no idea why. I reformatted the computer and rebooted everything to factory settings once, did a memory test, and everything turned out fine. It runs a little hot but rarely above 52 degrees Celsius.

It freezes for anywhere between 15 seconds and less than 2 minutes. Ususally it happens when I watch TV shows or movies on VLC, but today it's been freezing just when I'm listening to iTunes and surfing on Google Chrome. It's really frustrating. The computer should run smoothly when I only have iTunes and Chrome up. Any suggestions are welcome. Should I just return it?
