Open Question: Why does my CD/DVD Drive keep ejecting itself?

Seun Member since:February 02, 2011Total points:126 (Level 1)For a while now, if I try to remove a disk from d DVD drive of my computer, it won't eject for a long tym until I keep pressing n pressing n pressing, or I improvise a lil by inserting a broom into a small hole on d face of d drive-sth I learnt during engineering class. After a while the drive starts ejecting itself, even if It just booted after days. The action of ejecting itself prevents it from reading CD/DVD's obviously-a real pain in d ***. Pls what could be responsible n wat do I do?Answer Question
by Dean Member since:January 25, 2011Total points:506 (Level 2)drive could be faulty but usually in a case like this its because its jammed! and no i don't mean strawberry.. usually their is something stuck in the drive.. a kid small toy.. screw driver $100 bill who knows eject the drive and inspect inside with a flash light.i'm 20+ years as the computer guy.
