I would say go with the GTX 470, its a bit cheaper (possibly?), more ram on it, but you sacrafice very little from not having a 550 or the 6800's thats hardly noticable

I can't say ati or nvidia is better than the other, since they both overlap each other on certain things in video cards

If you plan on getting a gtx tho, I would suggest looking into possibly asus, evga, bfg, not sure on msi, galaxy, sapphire or any other companies so I can't say they're good or bad
