Recently my computer monitor started acting up and the screen turned very dark to the point where i am barely able to see anything on the computer, i tried adjusting the brightness on the monitor, unplugging everything and plugging it back in, blowing all the dust out of the fans in my computers and changing the power savings options to no avail.
One observation i made was if i turn the computer monitor off then on the screen will work perfectly just the way it used to be but after about 2-3 seconds it will become dark again.

If you know what the problem is and if there is a way to fix this please reply to my question.
