You've used the charger far too much that the battery is broken to the point that the laptop must be charged for it to work. I should know, my laptop was like that.

I suggest replacing the battery.
To prevent this from ever happening again, check on the battery status often if your charging, that way, when it becomes full you can unplug it, not only saving energy but also prolonging the battery life.
