You'd Probably be better off building your own. If you used the same quality of parts as a vendor built PC then you'd save some $$$$.

For instance, if you bought a gaming machine from CyberpowerPC with a GTX 460 you would get a cheap Power supply that would match the power consumption. You would be S.O.L. if you decided to upgrade to a power hungry card.

I build my own PC's because I have more control of upgrades and it's easier to take care of any hardware failure issues.
