Open Question: My webcam in my HP laptop is messing up.?

BMTH4978 Member since:August 13, 2008Total points:813 (Level 2)I have a HP laptop and with a built in webcam and it works when I have my computer screen at a right position but if anything is moved it will turn off and won't work until I find a correct spot to place the screen again. It also makes the sound as if I am unplugging a usb drive or inserting one whenever it turns on and off.
Does anyone know whats wrong and if so how I can fix it?Answer Question
by D McC Member since:November 01, 2006Total points:21,538 (Level 6)it sounds like the ribbon cable that connects the cam and mic is damaged or a connection is lose, take it to a repair shop and have them look at the wiring
