Open Question: Best video card for my desktop?

6:46 PM Posted by Anonymous

My Power Supply is an Asus green with a total combine current on +12V1 & +12V2 rails are 19A MAX. Since its green I assume it uses less power? It also says peak 300w, 250w and also says "OUTPUT CAN't EXCEED 235W"

My Specs(+The things I will have plugged in with that card):
Asus Essentio CM5570-AP006
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33Ghz 2.34Ghz(yes on "system" it shows both side by side)
4gb Dual Channel PC2-6400U x2
750gb 5200rpm hard drive
DVD-RW drive(I only plug the cables when I actually use it which is rarely, so it will be unplugged when gaming)
8400 GS 512mb (yeah, crap card)
Also the wifi card should use some power

I am saving for a beast computer so in the meantime I want this PC to have the best video card this power supply can handle when heavy gaming. So please, stop telling to get a new power supply, thanks

I am also going to be playing games on max res and max setting mainly with Crysis 1 & 2, Left4Dead 1 & 2,Starcraft 2, Resident Evil 5, Assasin's Creed, Bioshock 1 & 2, Gears of War. for average 2-3hours a day at most. right now I can play them at low-mid settings with 460x680(I think, around that number)
