I connect the external hard drive through a fire-wire port.
It comes up in the "Devices and Printers" section under the control panel but i cant use it as a storage device. Its not recognized under "Devices with Removable storage" under My computer.

i cant figure it out. the computer says that is categorized as a "storage device" under properties, but im getting no where.
