Open Question: What is wrong with my charger?

first two thoughts, 1) it's worn out and needs replacing. 2) the power port to the laptop has a broken connection. if you can find a comparable power cord, try that one and see if it works. if so, it was your power cord. if the other cord has the same issue, the problem is probably with your port.

i've experienced both problems. and word to the wise, if it's the power port ... find someone who can fix it ... quickly. if you wait too long you'll run the risk of it shorting out and taking the hard drive and other hardware with it.
