Open Question: Which is better, e6300 or e3500?

You'll need to clarify.

Are you referring to the Core 2 Duo E6300 or the Pentium E6300?

Also, (E3500?) do you mean Pentium E5300?

Open Question: are HP's better than most computer brands on the market? why are they (seemingly, to me) so popular?

1) all in one pcs are not worth the money

2) hp is a good brand

3) lenovo has a price premium on it's computers, but that's because they tend to be stockier, studier, and built for business.

Open Question: Which is a better processor and why ?
Open Question: Do more expensive computers really have better components?

Open Question: Do more expensive computers really have better components?

More expensive computers do have better hardware, and can process data faster than the crappy "typewriter extreme" model you can buy at WalMart. A gaming computer will have a much better graphics card than most standard computers, which allows it to render onscreen images more quickly, which allows games to run faster. Faster processors process data faster, which is a huge thing if you encode audio or video frequently, or rendering 3D models, or things like that.

Of course, sometimes the price is just because of the brand. A 1000 dollar Apple may only have the hardware that a 700 Windows machine has.

Open Question: Who makes a better Laptop, HP,or Dell.. Because i'm looking for a good used one, Full size/ or Mini.?

Open Question: Who makes a better Laptop, HP,or Dell.. Because i'm looking for a good used one, Full size/ or Mini.?

I would definitely suggest going with a full-sized laptop because, as said before, minis are really awful. I would not suggest buying a used laptop unless it's from someone you know and trust because there could be any number of malware or even hardware problems with the computer that may cost you more and more money to repair.

Between HP and Dell, it really just depends on the specs of the computer. If it were between two with the same specs, I would personally choose Dell, but HP is a fine computer as well. It also depends for which purposes you will be using the computer. Just distinguish which one has better hardware for the price you are getting. Also, if you're getting a used one, check which software they already have installed on it, which may tip the favor of your getting it and not having to spend another few hundred on software. I'm assuming for $300, you should want around a 2GHz processor, graphics card I don't think is significant for your purposes if you aren't gaming on it, 1 or 2 GB of RAM, and however much storage you want on the hard drive.

Open Question: 2 cores vs 4 processor, which is better for gaming?

Home >All Categories > Computers & Internet >Hardware >Laptops & Notebooks >Open QuestionUser User Member since:April 12, 2011Total points:88 (Level 1)Hey I am looking at buying a laptop for gaming, and i am looking at four different laptops with pretty similar specs all have a 460m video card and at least 4 gigs of ram if not more, however, two have a quad core processor (i7) with 1.73 GHz the other a 2.00 GHz and another with 2.2 MHz and finally one with a duel core processor at either 2.7 or 3.0, now without considering the turbo in the i7's which is best suited for my needs for the price they are at (I want to run games like Fallout New Vegas, GTA 4, and Just Cause 2)Answer Question

Open Question: What is better a cooling pad with fans or a gel pad?

Member since:February 09, 2009Total points:151 (Level 1)My friend has an hp and when he plays games it gets super super hot. So should i get a gel pad that draws heat away or a cooling pad?Answer Question

I heard that the fans would be a better choice since it has more ventilation, unlike in the case where you use a gel pad, which will cut off ventilation. I think any would be fine though, the fans could be noisy and use up battery and the gel pad could cut off ventilation. I used fans before and it worked fine with me. It wasn't at all too noisy. I've never used a gel pad though, you could try it. Good luck :)
